NH28 informatics (new number wef 2010)


Informatics on National Highway 28 (NH28), the route it follows, etc. wef 2010.. 

NH28 (new number) lies entirely in Uttar Pradesh, starting from the Indo-Nepal border and terminating at Varanasi. It comprises stretches of the old NH28 (Barauni to Lucknow) as well as parts of old NH233.

States Falling Under NH28: 
NH28 falls entirely under the state of Uttar Pradesh. It extends across the cities of Siddharth Nagar, Basti, Tanda, Azamgarh, Bansi, Naugarh and Varanasi. Apart from all these, it also touches some of the major towns on the erstwhile NH28 route.

Entry and exit points of new NH28: 
The starting point of NH28 is at Kakrahwa, UP near the Indo-Nepal border and terminates near Varanasi, UP. The highway stretches from North to South with both entry and entry points being in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Length of the NH28 with major intersections across states: 
The entire length of NH28 is 292 kms, which is roughly equal to 181.44 miles (considering 1 mile = 1.069 km).
