IR Distance Signage - At Morgram on NH14 and NH12 intersection

The attached Indian Roadie Distance Signage is from the intersection of NH14 (erstwhile, NH60) and NH12 (erstwhile, NH34) at Morgram, Murshidabad district in West Bengal, India. Rampurhat is behind me. 

Comment and elaborate on the location with as much details as possible.

Shootout at a dhaba on NH14 (old, NH60) in Midnapore on 2021-08-28

Shootout at a 'dhaba' on NH14 (old, NH60) in Midnapore (near Kharagpur), West Bengal around 8 pm on 2021-08-28. On not finding the owner at the dhaba, the goons assaulted the manager and fired to scare him. They wanted an extortion amount of ₹1 lakh from the owner by Sunday 2021-09-29. 

For the uninitiated, NH14 connects Balasore (OD) with Morgram (WB) via Jaleswar, Kharagpur, Midnapore, Chandrakona Road, Garbeta, Bishnupur, Bankura, Durgapur, Panagarh, Ilambazar, Dubrajpur, Suri, Mohammed Bazar, Rampurhat, Nalhati.

Deshpran Birendra Bridge on NH14 (erstwhile, NH60), over Kangshabati River connecting Kharagpur - Midnapore in West Bengal is in a terrible state of disrepair as in September 2018.
Huge chunks of concrete have fallen off from the surface of the long bridge. Unbelievably, huge concrete masses have fallen of from most of the pillars supporting the bridge. The railings are almost non existent. Trees and shrubs have grown on the side walls.

The bridge can collapse any moment!
If this vital road link is cut off, cars/ bikes/ trucks/ buses from entire India located south of Kharagpur (including those from Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala) will have untold misery reaching Durgapur, Asansol, Malda, North Bengal, North Eastern states, Bhutan, etc.
