    standard-setting organization. It consists of
    representatives from various national standards organizations

    organisation operates.

    Shop and establishment registration comes under state matter
    and every state of india made its own law relating to shop
    and establishment i.e Shop and establishment act. Some of act
    relating to shop and establishments are Karnataka
    Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1961, The Punjab Shops
    and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958, Delhi Shop & Establishment
    Act 1954, The Maharashtra Shops and Establishment Act 1948. It is
    common in all state law to mandatory registration of shops and
    establishment without any exemption to any small shops. This
    registration is done under the aegis of respective state shop
    and establishment act.

    Shop and establishment registration is done with the objectives
    to regulate the employer in respect of working conditions,
    leaves of employee, and also to to regulate health, safety
    welfare, working hours of adults. Registration should be done within in
    some days after establishing shop or registration
    of the establishment or in some state should be made immediately
    before commencing any shop or work.
