Which variant and colour of car should one buy - FAQ

I am planning to buy X brand of car. Please suggest best variant and best color.
(It's a Frequently Asked Question by new/ first time car buyers in various forums)
Answer:
Variant depends on your needs. List down your requirements, compare with brochure. Don't fall for fancy features. Go for features what you need, not for features which your friend's car has.
Color is a personal choice. All are equally difficult to maintain, black is the most difficult.

Meeting HVK at Domjur, NH16 on 2022-12-26

A real Bharat Jodo Abhiyaan was enacted on the highway by 3 passionate road travel and automobile lovers on Monday 2022-12-26 between 10.30 am and 11.10 am.

MH (Kumar HV of Thane with his almost 2 decades old 6+ lakh kms done 5084 Express) - WB (yours truly, Deep Banerjee purposefully with his 31 yrs old 2.25+ lakh kms done LML Vespa 150NV) - TN (@Sabarish Rukman of Chennai with his young Tata Harrier) met on NH16 at Ankurhati, Domjur, Howrah district on the outskirts of Kolkata for lovely traditional dhaba style extra sweet milk tea, lots of photos and short chats on innumerable subjects of common interest.

I wish if only someone would have taken a video of HVK jumping out of his Scorpio on reaching the meeting spot and the tight spontaneous embrace which lasted for nothing less than 30 seconds 😃

Kumar HV and Sabarish were driving back solo to their respective bases after an exhaustive month long drive to the Northeast with family members. Their dear ones had flown back home from Guwahati/ Bagdogra. On Christmas Day they drove a whopping distance from Pedong (SK) to Dumka (JH).

After checking into their hotel room in Dumka, HVK messaged me at 11.20 pm saying that he would love to meet me exclusively on 26th morning on the outskirts of Kolkata.

I was down with fever but I was not going to miss the opportunity of meeting my friend HVK with whom I have interacted more than a hundred times since 2015 but never got to meet him. I popped down two paracetamol tablets within this morning. This morning, within 45 minutes after he messaged me at 7.20 am that he had crossed Asansol, I left home to meet him some 28 odd kms from my home purposefully in my grand old scooter to make the meeting even more dramatic 😊

We bid reluctant good bye at 11.09 am to be precise. They drove together on NH16 for another 90 kms upto Kharagpur where they too had to part ways. HVK drove towards his day's destination, viz. Sambalpur. Sabrish kept driving on NH16 towards Chennai.

Latest update: I made confirmed arrangements for Sabrish's stay at Haritha Beach Resort in Baruva, AP where he checked in around 9.45 pm. HVK checked in at OTDC Panthaniwas, Sambalpur, OD at around 8.45 pm.

P.S: For the next 2 days, my friend HVK can cherish the cups of fresh Mishti Doi which I luckily could pick up for him early in the morning from a dairy products distributor near my place of stay 😋

Lots of faults found during PDI of Tata Nexon

Someone in another forum for Tata Nexon owners went for PDI (pre delivery inspection) on 2022-12-24 and found the following issues in his 'Desh Ka Loha', a brand which cherishes in screaming 'Vocal For Local'. I am reproducing his post verbatim. He sought for advice from members in that Facebook group on what he should do ....
Today PDI completed for nexon xm s and below issue observed kindly comments.
1) Rear side door and Bonet side panel fitting not proper.
2) Boot upper side welding observed porosity and welding crack.
3) Odometer reading 111.5km, dealer says due to road transport from rajangaon.
4) Out of 4 glass 3 glass observed closing is not proper (glass just close but sound of proper closing is not observed)
5) Please confirm Xm S  model rear seat don't have head rest.
6) Please confirm Xm s model don't see voice during mode change.
7) Driver side cabinet light loose.
8) Break padel observed loose.
My reply:

DON'T TAKE EVEN IF THERE IS ONE FAULT. You are are not buying a handcrafted car. Going by your words, if I would have been present along with you, I would have found 15 more glaring faults.
My fellow Indian Roadie members do invite me to test drives and PDIs. With my eye for details even showroom GMs are left flabbergasted because they don't have an answer for the issues pointed out by me!

Bad times do come to an end - Gharer Chele Ghare - WB20Z2223 Maintenance Issues

Bad times do come to an end. I was almost about to snap. I held onto the belief that I will surely come out victorious from the terrible days that I have been going through  since mid-November 2022.

I pray to the Almighty that the rascal who made me go through one of the worst phases of my life comes face to face with the most scary consequences that one can even dream of!

I am posting this video at around 7.45 pm on 2022-12-21 sitting inside my red boy, viz. my VW Vento. I have almost reached home near Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata after a smooth drive of 11 kms to be exact. I am feeling delighted.

Thank you so much Pushpak Ghosh, Raptor HG, Nikhilesh Roy for standing with me like a rock. Also special thanks to Arnab Chowdhury, Tanmoy Das, Sandip Hunday, Adv Abhijit Sarkar.

Quality And Not Quantity Is The Buzzword

Instead of posting random meaningless queries and/or achievements related to fuel economy, I as the founder of this forum (and the associated forums) allow discussions on the art and science of safe and skillful driving only to derive maximum benefits.
Queries by idiots like "an idiot on a bike scratched my 3 months old white car. Can I apply talcum powder or vanishing cream to cover up the scratch? Or should I go for insurance claim?" are invariably junked.

What's allowed is quality content and/or discussions as one can find in IndianRoadie.

I believe in quality of content and entertain matured people (new and experienced roadies alike) in my initiatives to maintain the desired sanctity.
'Chapri' newbie roadies should stay away from my initiatives. People who are extremely concerned about privacy should also stay away from #IndianRoadie and #AssociatedForumsOfIndianRoadie. I must know the basic demographic details of every member and follower.

Tata Nexon owners blabber the most about Fuel Economy

Who blabbers the most about Fuel Economy of their cars?
More often than not, it's invariably the nouveau rich self proclaimed techies and analytics experts who have NOT as yet been told that 'Build Quality Of Drivers Brain Matters'!
The following images are proof enough.

Btw, it's MILEAGE, not 'milage'!
Note: Instead of posting random meaningless queries and/or achievements related to fuel economy, I as the founder of this forum will only allow discussions on the art and science of safe and skillful driving to derive maximum benefits. And of course other quality contents and/or discussions as one can find in #IndianRoadie. I believe in quality of contents and entertain matured people (new and experienced roadies alike) in my initiatives to maintain the desired sanctity.
