The death toll in the Scania AC sleeper bus fire near Kurnool (AP) on NH44 rose to 20 after a private bus belonging to Kaveri Travels traveling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru caught fire at around 3.00 am on Friday 2025-10-24, following a collision with a motorbike. The motorcycle got dragged under the bus. Out of the 41 passengers onboard, 21 escaped unharmed. Authorities are collecting DNA from the charred bodies.
