Private bus operators are not paying highway toll charges at Ladowal Toll Plaza, near Ludhiana and breaking down the boom barriers

Even after the Ministry of Road Transport  and Highways (MORTH) allowed resumption of collection of toll charges on National Highways after Lockdown 1.0 in end April 2020, there's mass scale indiscipline and lawlessness being resorted to by private bus operators at Ladowal Toll Plaza near Ludhiana, Punjab.
The bus drivers are not paying the toll charges and going ahead by breaking down the boom barriers and other items of road furniture for obstruction 😠
The lawlessness has been reported to the police, but no action has been taken against the offenders till mid July 2020. Goons with firearms are also threatening the toll plaza employees regularly.

A historic relic in the form of a milestone, 35 miles from Ludhiana

Mcllo Rj, a resident of a village near Ludhiana, Punjab was guided by his uncle to this historical relic still intact by the side of the highway on Monday, 2020-06-22.
We are left wondering how many of such 'real' milestones still exist in India. Most of those must have been removed during the process of road widening.
The numerical figures engraved on the milestone are in miles, not kilometers.

Jagatsukh Industries donate disinfectant sprayer machine to Ludhiana Municipal Corporation

Ludhiana industrialist lends indigenously designed machine that’s now disinfecting the city 24×7 from Coronavirus.
.
.
A Ludhiana-based industrialist has come to the rescue of the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation amid the COVID-19 outbreak by lending them an aero-blast spray machine which is being used to disinfect the city.
Sukhpal Vir Singh Passi, owner of Jagatsukh Industries, handed over the 'Charlie Tornado', which is worth Rs 7.5 lakh, to the cash-strapped Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (LMC). The machine was originally meant to be supplied to a Uganda-based customer, but the industrialist donated it to the civic body instead and pushed back the customer's order.
On Saturday, 2020-04-25 night, the municipal corporation initiated a 24x7 fumigation drive. Residents were surprised to see the machine moving along city roads, spraying sodium hypochlorite mixed with water.
According to guidelines issued by the National Centre for Disease Control, a body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, for environmental cleaning during COVID-19 outbreak, test carried out using SARS-CoV showed that sodium hypochlorite is effective.
It is an aero-blast spray machine generally used in orchards. This model, 'Charlie Tornado' has been modified by the company for the municipal corporation. The company exports these machines to African and European countries. Seeing the need of the hour, it was more important to use it in India first. It has a capacity of around 1,500 litres and covers 6-8 km an hour. Since Saturday night, it is working continuously on streets of Ludhiana and there hasn't been any issue yet. The company has informed its customer in Uganda to wait. Jagatsukh Industries haven't charged the civic body anything for it.
There are fans installed at the back of machine which rotates and creates a spray blast. As it moves on roads, it leaves a fountain of spray, so that the chemical reaches far and wide.
Almost 6,000 litres of solution was sprayed in parts of Zone-A, from Phullanwal Chowk to Mata Rani Chowk, and on Sunday, 2020-04-26 the drive continued in Zone-D. The plan is to cover the entire city by working 24x7 for 2-3 days. The civic body has used this chemical only after research and several studies say it is effective against coronavirus.
On Sunday, 2020-04-26 the machine sprayed nearly 15,000 litres of solution in Zone-D areas. More will be sprayed in coming days. Jagatsukh Industries donated the machine while the civic body procured the chemical and tractor.
In the absence of this joint venture Ludhiana Municipal Corporation couldn't have covered the entire city in such a short time.
Ludhiana Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu has confirmed that 200 small hand-held machines are also being procured for councilors to fumigate their own wards with this chemical.

Wrong lane driving on a foggy morning be a DAV Public School bus driver.

The school bus No. 15 with a PB-11CF registration ferrying school children of DAV Public School, Ludhiana was spotted travelling at a very high speed for quite a distance on the wrong lane of a busy National Highway on a foggy winter morning with extremely low visibility.
If this is not enough prescription for a heart wrenching fatal crash, what is?
Parents, activists, police and #MORTH should do a thorough investigation and mete out exemplary punishment to the driver of the bus.
