Manali Memories: Drive from Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) to Manali (Himachal Pradesh)
DAY 1 (28.12.2023): Jamshedpur to Lucknow
Total KMs driven 881 Kms
Stay: A one Inn Fabhotel (spot booking)
Road condtion: Good (Purvanchal Expressway was excellent)
Difficulties: we faced Dense Fog.
DAY 2 (29.12.2023): Lucknow to Ambala
Total KMs driven: 730 KMs
Stay: Amrapali Resort (spot booking)
Road Condition: Excellent
Difficulties: Nil
Day 3 (30.12.2023): Ambala to Manali
Total Kms driven: 304 kms
Stay: The Genial Mount (advanced booking)
Road Condition: Excellent (few bad patches as road construction work is going on)
Day 4 (31.12 2023): Manali(hotel) -Atal Tunnel- Kokshar - Sissu-Tandi- Keylong - Manali (hotel)
Total Kms driven 168 Kms
A strict rule of no stopping was adopted inside the ATAL Tunnel and the speed limit was 60 Kms per Hour.
There was "Snow White" everywhere as you exited the tunnel and entered the Lahaul region. The scenes were breathtaking.
Even though the temperature was in minus degrees, we were able to bear the cold without any hired clothes as it was Sunny.
One can enjoy many snow activities here or simply witness the heavenly views of Mother Nature .
We faced heavy traffic jam on our way back to Manali
Day 5(01.01.2024) Manali -Hampta Valley- Sethan - Hadimba Devi Temple-Mall Road - Manali
Total Kms driven:38 Kms
Road condition : road to Sethan is poor . Rest good
According to locals Winter in Sethan is very harsh as the temperature drops to minus
and the heavy snowfall covers the entire landscape but this time the entire Manali region doesn t not have the snowfall as it used to be.
But still Sethan is a quite village where you can experience the resolute silence which is extremely different from other populated area of Manali.
Hadimba devi temple was very crowded so was Mall road. As we are not that much shopping freak or spiritual person we didnt enjoy that part.
Day 6 (02.01.2024) - Manali - kasol- Manikaran Sahib- Ambala
Road to Manikaran is pathetic.

Total Kms driven : 365 km
Day 7 (03.01.2024) Ambala to Agra
Total Kms driven: 426 kms
Stay : Hotel Tara Palace (5 mins walking distance from Taj Mahal East Gate.
Day 8 (04.01.2024) Agra-Taj Mahal- Varanasi
Total kms driven 639km
Visited Marble-ous Taj, purchased Petha from Panchi Petha,had kabab paratha from Tundey kebabi then reached Varanasi.

Day 9(05.01.2024): Varanasi to Jamshedpur (Home)
Kms driven on the day: 539 kms
Total Kms driven: 4190 kms (approx)
Total fuel: Rs 24000 (approx)

Total no of heads: 2 Adults 1 child (5 years)
