Trip to Andaman Islands in March 2022 by Subhendu Saha
















Day – 1 (2022-03-15): After reaching Airport took a Auto  (Auto fare 60/-)and we went to Dollygunge where I stayed (office Guest House). Then I went at marine jetty by bus (bus fare @10/-)and booked havelok ticket in government ship @435/- per head for the next day and also booked diglipur bus ticket @290 per head for 15th March 2022 from Aberdin Bazar STS bus service and retuned to dollygunge by bus (bus fare @10/-). At 2: 30 P.M. from dollygunge I took a bus (bus fare @10/-)and went to Medical stoppage which is just opposite to the Celleluar Jail. Cellular jail ticket @30 per person and Light and sound show @50/ per head. (Light and sound show I booked online from kolkata, Cellular jail should be reach before 4 p.m. and ticket should be book in online), Then went to Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex by walk. From Rajiv Gandhi Sports complex took a bus and reached at dollygunge. (At Port blair bus service is very sufficient and there are frequent buses after every 2 minutes)

Day – 2 At 5:00 a. m. From Dolly gunge we took a bus and went to Phonex bay jetty (bus fare @10/-). At Havelok First took a scooty @500/- per day and went to Radhanagar Beach and booked a room at Dreamland resort @ 1500/-. After changing our dress we started for the Elephanta beach we went there by trekking (about 2 KM). Elephanta beach is the best point in Havelok. Here snorkeling offered @600/-. After Elephanta we went to Radha Nagar beach. (In Havelok it is better to stay in 3 No or in Jetty area hotel @ 600-2000. In Radha Nagar there is hardly two or three resort)

Day – 3 In the morning we went to Kalapathaar beach. After Kalapathaar beach we went to havelok jetty and booked ticket for Neil Island @435 per head and Neil Island to Port blair ticket in advance @435/- per head. Boat timing was 02:45 p. m. At Neil Island we took a scooty @500 per day and booked a room @800/- perday Hotel Moon Shine Garden. After that we went to Sun Set Point. Nice view.

Day – 4 At 4:30 A. M. we started from our hotel for Sun rise point. It Was a Excellent view. After sunrise point we went natural breeze or coral point and after that we went to Bharatpur beach. At 8:45 a.m. we satrted for Port Blair. At evening we went to Aberdin Market.

Day – 5 We took a bus for wandoor beach (bus fare @18/-). From Wandoor we went to vathubasti market (bus fare @15/-) and from there took a bus and went to carvin chowk (bus fare @8/-)and from carvin chowk took a auto (auto fare 20/-) and went to Korvein beach. From korvein beach again back at vathubasti market and from there went to Chidiya Tapu by Bus (bus fare @15/-). After sun set returned by bus. (bus fare @20/-)

Day – 6 At 4:00 A.M. Bus from Dollygunge to Diglipur via Baratang and Rangat. We Reached at Diglipur at 2:15 p. room taken at Little Guest House @700/- and rent a Scooty @300 per day and went to Kalipur beach.

Day – 7 Went to Ross & Smith Island at 7:30 a.m.  Here process is very easy. Boat fare @3500/- for 5 person. We took full boat as we are not want to waste our time. After permission we went to Ross and Smith Island. It is the best place in Andaman. We saw Octopus and Jelly fish there. After 3 hours enjoying there we back to our hotel and took bus for Mayabandar at 2:00 P. M. Bus fare @64/-. We reached Maya bandar at 4:30 P.M. and here booked ANMOL Guest House @600/- just opposite to the bus stand. 

Day – 8 At 4:00 A.M. Bus from Mayabandar to Baratang. Bus fare @130/- We reached Baratang at 8:50 A. M. Here we book Tata Sumo @400/- for Mud Volcano trip. After Mud Volcano we went for Limestone Cave Fees @700/-. After that we took bus from Baratang to Port blair at 3:00 A. M. @110/- by SS transport Bus service.

Day – 9 At 9:00 we reach Aberdin Jetty it was in the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex by Bus (bus fare @10/-) for Ross Island, North Bay Island and Viper Island. Book ticket @390/-. At 4:00 P. M. we returned Aberdin Jetty and took Bus for Sagarika Emporium. (Bus stoppage Middle Point just oppsite to the State Library)

Day – 10 Back to Kolkata
