Spotted this 2017-18 model Ford Ecosport Titanium Petrol DCT at an #IndianRoadiePreferredWorkshop in Kolkata on 2025-06-12. The DCT gearbox had failed and would cost a minimum of ₹1.5 lakhs to replace from a genuinely good multibrand car repair workshop.
The going rate for a running pre-owned Ford Ecosport Titanium Petrol DCT (known for pathetically poor fuel economy) directly from a first owner (a potential seller) would have cost a maximum of ₹3 lakhs to buy in West Bengal. Even to get a buyer for a Ford Ecosport with original or replaced DCT gearbox would be extremely difficult.
Little wonders that the owner of this orange coloured car is contemplating scrapping the car.
It's really so sad 😰
