Kanpur (near, Allenhouse Institute of Technology, Rooma, Kanpur) (8.00 am) - Fatehpur - Allahabad Bypass - Handia - Gopiganj (Exit NH19 and turn right, ROL: Bhadohi 18 kms, RA: Varanasi) (1.00 pm) (255 kms/ 5 hrs) - Aurai - Lal Bahadur Shastri Bridge over Ganga River, at Mirzapur Vindyachal (21 kms/ 30 minutes) - Marihan - Hinduhari - Robertsganj (85 kms/ 2 hrs) - Sone River Bridge (20 kms/ 30 mins) - Sonbhadra - Hathinala - Renukoot (47 kms/ 75 mins) (6.00 pm).
Road condition:
4 lane road Kanpur to Allahabad Bypass,
4 lane road Allahabad Bypass to Gopiganj (outskirts of Bhadohi) with lots of flyovers under construction and road widening work in progress,
4 lane road Gopiganj to Aurai,
2 lane good road from Aurai to Hinduhari,
4 lane road from Hinduhari to Hathinala.
2 lane good road from Hathinala to Renukoot.

BJP MLA in UP dies after his Toyota Fortuner SUV collides with truck on NH24 on 2018-02-21
BJP MLA from Noorpur in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, Lokendra Singh died on 2018-02-21 morning after his Toyota Fortuner being driven at high speed on the wrong flank of 4 lane National Highway 24 (NH24) with median divider collided head-on with a truck in Sitapur district.
The MLA was on his way to Lucknow to attend an investors meet scheduled to be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi later in the day.
We pity the truck driver. Since 'netaji'/ 'vidayakji' died after crashing into a truck, the driver will spend donkeys years in some jail & without any judgement :( :( :(
Now it will be a case of unending misery for the poor family of the hapless driver of the truck.
Would the situation been different even if there were CCTV cameras every 500 mtrs or 5000 mtrs to monitor vehicle movements on the highway?
