IR GTG 2024-02-08 @ Motisil Street - Snigdhajyoti Satpathy

The long awaited Indian Roadie GTG with Indian Roadie Snigdhajyoti Satpathy of Baripada (OD) became a reality on 2024-02-08 evening. Ever since we got to know each other, we bonded well and we could only converse via WhatsApp voice calls and video calls and of course via my social media initiatives because he was stationed in Europe pursuing his higher studies. 

Now in 2024 that he is back to his hometown in Baripada, OD, about 250 kms from Kolkata, Snigdhajyoti dropped  in to my city for some professional assignment and more importantly, to meet me in person. 
The roadside GTG was for a little over 90 minutes from 7 pm onwards at Motisil Street in the Esplanade area. We had a filling egg-chicken roll (viz. wrap, as it's called elsewhere in India) each and discussed numerous topics pertaining to Indian Roadie and more. 
Finding a parking slot in the CBD of Kolkata is almost an impossible task. Hence, Snigdhajyoti got a chance to have a glimpse of my 32 years young antique on 2 wheels 😊. 
Now it's my turn to drive down to Baripada, Mayurbhanj district to devour the natural beauty of Odisha. For the records, about 3 decades ago, during my days with Castrol I used to pay a visit to Baripada every 3 - 4 months.

Fortuner owner blindly followed Google Maps and drove down a flight of stairs in Gudalur

The owner driver of a Toyota Fortuner was headed towards home in Karnataka after vacationing with his friends in end January 2024. He relied a bit too much on Google Maps for navigating him through the fastest route. In the process he ended up stuck on a flight of stone steps in an elevated residential locality in Gudalur, Tamilnadu. 

Gudalur, situated at a tri-junction of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka, is a popular holiday spot, often visited by tourists heading to Ooty. 

While blindly following Google Maps for the fastest route, the friends were led through the Police Quarters in Gudalur, which the navigation maps application claimed to be the 'fastest route'. This path, however, took them to a steep flight of stairs on a small hillock in a residential area. 

Unable to proceed, the driver halted the vehicle on the stairs and sought assistance. Local residents and police personnel came to their aid, helping the driver to manoeuvre the SUV back to the main road.

A car owner (in dark blue T-shirt) from near Kolkata had stopped for refuelling at Asansol Energy Fuel Station (IOCL), on NH19 near Ghagarburi Mandir in Asansol, WB while driving back home from Purulia via NH19 in January 2024. 

The customer was overwhelmed by the ambiance and overall refuelling experience at the IndianRoadiePreferredFillingStation.
He gladly agreed to express his happiness in front of the camera.

Harrowing experience of Harsh Raghubanshi lasting 225 days after buying Tata Nexon from Tata Motors Ltd in mid 2023: 

Finally after 7 months and 15 days I got my car yesterday from Tata Motors 

This journey was full of depression, awfulness and disgusting experience, apprehension and continued life threats from the malfunctioning of the car.

I’ve got worst of the experience from Tata Motors and The dealership GoldRush Lucknow. The dealership cheated me and had played emotionally as well. I had cried blood for past 225 Days.

Some people at Tata are Pathetic In customer service. I had got to heard - “car to chal hi rahi hai” from one person. The second legend told me”harsh Ji thoda issue aap bhi manage kijiye”

The ultra legend who was representing Tata Legal Team threw the pen in anger who apparently came for the Negotiations.

Think 100000 times before investing your money,time , energy and emotions in Tata Motors.

The making of Kansha/ Kansa utensils in Bankura district of West Bengal. 

Kansha/ Kansa is an alloy of copper and tin. 

Pure Kansa is an Indian name for bell metal or bronze. An ultra-superior metal, Kansa is an alloy of Copper 78 percent and Tin 22 percent both heated together up to 700 centigrade to form pure bronze. A malleable metal in itself, the prepared alloy is further moulded into handcrafted products and can acquire different kinds of finishes – matt or glossy, depending on the aesthetic preferences.

Kansa is usually used to eat food and drink water on a daily basis which helps enhancing the gut health.
