Indian Roadie Preferred Route, Motoring Route Driving Route (as in March 2023) for 

Mysore (KA) to Kannur (KL) 

(Mysore_Kannur):  

Mysore - Hunsur bypass - Gonikoppa - Virajpet bypass - Iritty - Kannur. 

Journey time: 

It's about a 4.5 hrs journey, including 30 mins break just before entering the ghat roads. 

Food options: 

Food options are in plentiful in Hunsur bypass, Gonikoppa and at Virajpet bypass before the ghat section.

Road and traffic condition: 

Lot of unmarked speed  breakers on the Karnataka side. Traffic increases as soon as you enter Kerala.
