Two brothers from Ambedkar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh converted an old Maruti Suzuki Wagon R into a helicopter. However, their modified vehicle was seized in mid March 2024 by the traffic police in UP when they spotted it near the Akbarpur bus stand.
The brothers - Ishwardeen and Parmeshwardeen - customised the vehicle to provide a unique experience for weddings, offering stylish transportation for brides and grooms while boosting their family's earnings.
While on their way to get the modified vehicle painted, the UP police caught them during a routine inspection.
Video of the vehicle depicts the helicopter's rotor blade welded onto the car's roof, while the tail boom is attached to the boot of the car.
The vehicle was seized for not adhering to MV rules, specifically for undergoing modifications without proper authorisation from the relevant authorities. However, the police later released the vehicle after a fine of ₹2000 was paid. Since modifications require permission from the RTO department, the vehicle was seized under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
