The distance between Patna to Purnia can now be completed in only 3 hours, which took 8-12 hours earlier. This deficiency has been made possible by construction of Bihar Expressway. The construction of this expressway will reduce the distance from 366 kilometers to 215 kilometers. The expressway is a greenfield road project with a length of 215 kilometers. This expressway will connect Patna and Purnia through Samastipur and Saharsa.
