Rourkela to Kolkata via Khandadhar waterfall and Keonjhar (569 km):
I left my village kutra/Rourkela at 7 am on 29th December 2024 with my Kia sonet via Khandadhar waterfall, koenjhar, kharagpur to Kolkata.

Driver: Self.
Average Mileage: 17 kms/ltr (Petrol).
Arrival in Kolkata: 12.30 am on 30/12/2024.
Road condition: Road is in good condition up to Keonjhar. Kanjipani Ghati spread over 20 km long along NH49 which offers unique experience to the nature lovers above 610 meter high ghat. After Keonjhar road condition is not good due to ongoing construction of road.
Tourism: The place is the treasure house of rich flora & fauna. The winter temperature goes to -0 degree Celsius while clouds touches the valley during the rainy season to the delight of tourists. Nature’s this area is treasure trove of varied flora and fauna along with huge wildlife reserves. Driving smoothly on a circuitous route while overlooking the plateaus and tribal huts in the valley is uncommon beauty. It is just 30 km away from Keonjhar town.
Khandadhar waterfall: Khandadhar waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls not only of Keonjhar district but also of the state of Odisha. Speeding water of this holly river Khandadhar Spring is falling straight down to the earth at a distance of around 500 feet height. Its stunning natural environment encircled with mountain range at three directions mesmerizes visitors coming from all around of the state. The natural environment of this area is also the ideal place for rich flora and fauna which are abundantly available here. This spot is at a distance of 50 kms from Keonjhar town.
