Car loses control, crashes into truck on opposite carriageway
- Accident late night/ early morning - Most likely, a case of the driver dozing off
- Car looks to be at high speed, Truck flung away, overturns
- It was a rented Nexon - a car with HIgh Safety Rating, but it crumpled like chewing gum & caught Fire
- It was a rented Nexon - did the driver have adequate experience driving this car?
The accident happened at 2 am on NICE Road, Bangalore Bypass.
The most significant statement from the driver of the car, who survived:
"Mahendran is said to have told the police that he could not apply the brakes as a water bottle fell under the brake pedal. This led to the accident."
Here is a joke of a news report. It concedes that the accident happened because the driver fell asleep, but wants Driving Licenses processes to be reformed. Do tougher Driving Licensing tests prevent Sleep or Fatigue?
"Overspeeding is the reason for the accident. The car caught fire due to the impact of the collision. The car, after crossing the median, started moving on the opposite lane and collided head-on with the lorry. Even the lorry overturned after the collision,” Shiva Prakash Devaraju, DCP (South Traffic), said.
This is scary! How on earth did he manage to get to the opp side of NICE road when there are those large greenfield trenches as the median for most part?
The water bottle theory learnt from WhatsApp forwards is all crap. The bugger is a criminal who kil*led his child and wife. A few whacks of well oiled Assam cane on his derriere will make him blabber out the truth.
Try as much as we can, these #I_know_it_all guys will do whatever they feel like doing.
Most of these techies are self proclaimed zamindars. They will not listen to our well meaning gyan about #NoPlannedNightDriving. They want the roads for themselves because they claim that roads are empty during the night. They want to drive like zombies to clock social media 'likes'.
They simply drive from Location A to Location B without enjoying #KmsOfIndia, without knowing that there are interesting stuff at Locations A1, A2, A3, B5, B6, B8, B9. They won't know that there's a Vivekananda statue overlooking NH16 in Tuni, a microwave tower in Guntur, a sharp cut in the hillock on NH44 South of Tirunelveli as one drives to Kanyakumari, there's a famous Poopara Tea Estate of Harrison Malayalam, etc, etc, etc. Even during the day they are blind to all these because they are busy staring at the Amrikan arrow/ dot moving on a screen or are more fixated to the maximum speed they can clock or are busy recording Reels or YouTube videos. Schooling was a waste for them. They scored 93.8% in school leaving exams in spite of writing that Macbeth was penned by SEX-PEAR, a taakla with pointed beard.
I was bang on target 🎯 when I coined the phrase #BuildQualityOfDriversBrainMatters for every #DetroitReturnedAutomobileTeniya specially for those where #RightToQualificationHasSupersededRightToEducation.
Personally I have #SeenItAll_DoneItAll_ExperiencedItAll. I will keep showering #FineDrivingGyanology which are all FREE (till now).
