Terrible jam on NH48 in Thane district on 2025-10-15

If you are driving from Mumbai/ Thane/ Pune/ Goa towards Surat/ Bharuch/ Vadodara/ Ahmedabad or vice-versa, taking NH48 may NOT be a wise decision. Ever since March 2025 there have been reports of terrible jams and inordinate delays because of road construction work on the GQ between Ghodbunder Road (Thane) and MH-GJ border. On can consider driving via Nashik - Saputara - Valsad or vice-versa.

Chandigarh to Manali highway opened once again on 2024-08-04

News and video from ground zero. 

All categories of vehicles, including luxury buses have started plying on the Chandigarh to Manali (Chandigarh_Manali) and  vice-versa route once again from Sunday 2024-08-04 morning (note the date). 

However, situations might get worse any moment. Please keep yourself abreast of the latest road and weather condition before hitting the road. 

P.S: Roadies are requested to postpone their travel plans for a few days unless the travel is absolutely unavoidable.

Light Motor vehicles (private, official and emergency vehicles only) will move from Chitrey to Seti Jhora and vice versa via NH10 from 06:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs, on all days, from 2024-08-04 until further order.

Pathetic road condition of NH220

This is NH220 near Jamshedpur in Jharkhand which leads to Odisha. 

Drive a few kms ahead from Hata Chowk to Haldi Pokhar. Drive another 2 kms ahead towards Odisha border and this was the pathetic condition of NH220 on 2024-07-27. A large population commutes on this road to and from the steel city even while risking their lives. 

For the uninitiated, NH220 starts from Chaibasa. 

The important highway connects Chaibasa (JH) ---- Gobindpur ---- Hata ---- JH-OD border --- Tiringidihi ---- Rairangpur ---- Jashipur (OD) ---- Dhenkikot (OD). 

ये झारखंड का हाइवे है, जमशेदपुर के पास का । 

हाता चौक से आगे हल्दी पोखर । हल्दी पोखर से सिर्फ 2 किलोमीटर आप आगे बढ़ेंगे तो रसुनचोप आएगा । यह NH220 है जो उड़ीसा राज्य जाती है।

Raigamj bypass opened for vehicular traffic on 2024-05-03 - Indian Roadie Infrastructure Projects

Raiganj bypass in WB has been thrown open to vehicular traffic on 2024-05-03. 

Siliguri to Kolkata bound traffic will have to take a diversion of about 500 mtrs only onto the Kolkata to Siliguri bound flank till maybe mid May 2024.

Directives on road closures/ diversions in parts of North India in end January 2022

Abide by the directives with respect to road closures/ diversions due to heavy snowfall. The directives were issued by government authorities around 2022-01-24 in certain sections of North India. Satisfy yourself about the status before venturing out on the listed roads. 

Please read it carefully. 

1. Dalhousie-Khajjiar Road is completely closed for all kind of vehicles. 

2. Banikhet-Dalhousie road is open only for 4*4 (4WD) vehicles. 

3. Pathankot-Chamba road traffic is being diverted at Nainikhadd and Goli via Samleu for all vehicles. 

4. CHAMBA-PATHANKOT NH is very slippery due to snow around Banikhet

All are advised to travel only if really necessary.

 4. बनीखेत के आसपास बर्फ के कारण चंबा-पठानकोट राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग बहुत फिसलन भरा है

 सभी को सलाह दी जाती है कि यदि वास्तव में आवश्यक हो तो ही यात्रा करें।
