Kolkata to parts of North India (viz. PB, HP, HR, UP) road trip in October 2015 by Debasish Dey


























Debasish Dey and wife did a tour of northern India (viz. parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh) from Kolkata and back from 3rd to 15th October 2015, covering a whooping 4360 kms in their Ford Ecosport.

Route and itinerary was:
Day 1: (2015-10-03)
Kolkata -  NH2 - Burdwan - Durgapur - Barhi - Varanasi (Stopped for night, sightseeing) 

Day 2 + 3:
Allahabad - Kanpur - Etawah - Agra (stopped for 2 days for visiting Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri)

Day 4:
Yamuna Expressway - Delhi - Ambala - Ludhiana (stopped for night ) 

Day 5 + 6:
Jallandhur - Amritsar (stopped for 2 days for visiting Golden Temple, Atari-Wagah border) 

Day 7 + 8:
Batala - Gurdaspur - Pathankot - Chakki - Banikhet - Dalhousie (stopped for 2 days for visiting Khajjiar, Chamba ) 

Day 9:
Banikhet - Dunera - Nurpur - Gaggal -ΓΈ Dharamsala - Mcleodgunj (day visit) - Dharamsala (nightstay) 

Day 10:
Kangra - Ranital - Mubarikpur - Una - Anandpur Sahib - Ropar - Kurali - Kharar - Rajgarh (NH1) - Delhi outer ring road - Noida - Greater Noida - Yamuna Expressway - Agra (night halt)

Day 11:
Kanpur - Allahabad - Handia - Varanasi (night halt) 

Day 12:
Dehri-on-sone - Barhi - Topchanchi - Dhanbad - Durgapur - Bardhaman (night halt)

Day 13: (2015-10-15)
Kolkata.
