Bangalore to Malalli Water Falls, Karnataka - Indian Roadie Preferred Route






Road trip to Malalli Water Falls, Kumarahalli, Karnataka.

Malalli Falls is situated in the northern region of Kodagu District, Karnataka. It's 26 kms from the town of Somwarpet, at the foot of the Pushpagiri Hills. The Kumaradhara River is the main watercourse for this waterfall. The Kumaradhara later flows through Kukke Subrahmanya and merges with the Netravati River at Uppinangadi, which then empties into the Arabian Sea at Mangalore.

Indian Roadie Preferred Route:
Bangalore (Raj Bhavan) - (Drive on Bangalore to Mangalore Highway) - Nelamangala town - Herur (on Kunigal bypass) - Hemavathi Colony - Yediyur - Bellur Cross - Kannagatta - Devihalli Toll Plaza - HPCL Sri Lakshmi Ranganatha Fuel Station, 09986423602 (Indian Roadie Preferred Filling Station 24x7), NH48, Tobinakere Village 573124 - Hirisave (Keep driving ahead. ROL: Shravanabelagola) - Settyhalli - CR Patna (Channarayapatna) - Kalenahalli - Holenarsipur - Hethagowdanahalli - Bellaralli - Somwarpet - Hanagallu - Kumarahalli - a short trek to Malalli Water Falls.

The road from the junction after Kumarahalli is laid in concrete and takes roadies to the designated parking lot. Pay the fee and park the car under a tree. As one climbs down there are a couple of vantage points to view the falls. Around a few hundred steps later one can hear the roar of the falls. Entire mountain range is also visible. The dense greenery is the same throughout the year.
