Advisory by Government of India for personal vehicular movements during Unlock 3.0 w.e.f 2020-08-01 has been announced.
Epass is not necessarily going away.
The central govt has issued a minimum guideline which the states cannot dilute. However they are free to implement more stringently if they deem it necessary.
States which feel that the ePass is necessary are allowed to retain it.
For example, KA or KL have retained their epass systems without any modifications vis-a-vis during Unlock 2.0. TN has extended even the transit ePass system till Aug 31, 2020.
