A family of 7, including a man, a woman, and children clinging on to them for support in the middle of a raging waterfall were swept away by the gushing waters in Bhushi Dam, Lonavala, near Pune at around 1 pm on Sunday, 2024-06-30.
Only two managed to swim back. Authorities have recovered three bodies and rescue operations were underway.
