Mumbai is one city where people honk incessantly. They honk even while traffic signals were red. It's as if their honking would make the signal go green.
This resulted in unbearable noise pollution.
In end 2019 Mumbai Police came up with an unique idea to make roadies 'Honk Responsibly'.
At quite a few traffic signals they installed decibel meters. If the meters recorded 85 db or more, the traffic lights remained red 🔴 till such time people did not behave themselves.
