"Sidewall impact on road. Tyre has been driven for about 5000 kms only.
Is it repairable or should I go for a new tyre" - Almost every fourth day there's a similar query on numerous car owners forum.
Answer: The damage looks pretty bad. Repairing it by vulcanizing such nature of damage would be outright risky. Using this particular tyre with a tube inside isn't a good idea either.
Therefore, please go for a new one.
Note: We expect you to be ethical in your deeds. Don't even contemplate approaching the manufacturer and/or dealer for warranty cover.
