Baharampore bypass, NH12 (erstwhile, NH34) in West Bengal connecting Kolkata and Malda was officially opened for public use in January 2024. With the completion of this infrastructure project, the connectivity of Kolkata and South Bengal with North Bengal has improved.
The nightmare of crossing the bustling town of Baharampore town has become history.
