Pay full amount of new vehicle only after PDI

FAQ: Dealer is asking for full payment before PDI and even before allotment of my new vehicle. They have been saying that they need to raise the invoice by making full payment. They are giving verbal assurance of delivering a flawless vehicle. Simultaneously they are saying that if I don't pay up, the delivery of my vehicle will be delayed. I am not sure what should be done?

Answer: Never ever pay anything more than a very small token amount during booking. It's only after satisfactory pre delivery inspection (PDI) and before you give the green signal for your piece of vehicle to be sent for registration that you should pay.
You will repent a lot if you do anything on the contrary. Verbal assurances (or even written assurances) mean nothing.
