Nirmal Kumar Minda, Chairman and Managing Director of Uno Minda Group, has risen to become Gurugram's wealthiest person, with a net worth of Rs 30,800 crore, according to the 2024 Hurun India Rich List. His company, Uno Minda, which started as a small garage-like operation by his father in 1958, is now a leading automotive component manufacturer with 73 factories globally. Minda joined the family business in 1977 and led the company to new heights, especially in the electric vehicle sector since 2020.
Uno Minda supplies a wide range of auto parts, including sensors and lighting for two-wheelers and electric vehicles. The company’s valuation has soared to Rs 67,406 crore, driven by Minda's dynamic leadership and strategic expansion. His philanthropic work through the Suman Nirmal Minda Foundation, run by his wife Suman Minda, also reflects his commitment to giving back to society.
Minda has received various accolades, including the prestigious 'Haryana Ratna Award' for his contributions to both business and social causes.
