How to get rid of stubborn water spots on car windshields/ windows and prevent them from forming in the first place.
Water stains/ spots on glasses in your car are caused by the buildup of minerals like magnesium and calcium. When it rains or you wash your car using plain tap or well water the minerals in the water start to build up. Some areas have naturally harder water than others and the water spots will be worse.
Even if you scrub your windows after each wash or storm, these minerals will still build up. Around the circumference of the oblong or whatever shape, you’ll see the minerals have accumulated.
Get rid of the frustrating stains by using any of the following hacks:
A) Scrub with wet newspaper.
B) Scrub with a slice of potato.
C) Scrub with a slice of lemon.
D) Moist a small portion of any soft fabric with vinegar and wipe.
E) Moist a small portion of any soft fabric with concentrated baking soda solution and wipe.
Caution: Don't use a solution of vinegar and baking soda together. The effect will be neutralized.
F) Spray WD40 and wipe.
After applying any of the above mentioned 'jugad' (hacks) on glass, viz. front or rear windshield, side windows, rear view mirrors which have those irritating stains, wipe clean with dry cloth if weather is dry or run the wiper (for windshields) if it's raining.
If these sound too mundanely deshi, use all the expensive bottles of liquids available in car detailing shops to satisfy your ego and announce to the world that you have arrived 😊
