Day 1: We started from Bangalore at 4 am on 2023-11-10 after picking up our friend Shashi and his wife in our Honda Jazz before heading towards Kolhapur. Along the way, we made a brief stop at Byadagi to meet an acquaintance. By 7 pm, we arrived at Swamini Hotel in Kolhapur, where we visited the Mahalakshmi temple and enjoyed a meal at a restaurant run by a Udupi proprietor.
Day 2: We commenced our journey at 4.30 am towards Bhimashankar, reaching our destination by noon and experienced a wonderful darshan of Lord Bhimashankar. We proceeded to Trimbakeshwar, staying at Shiva's Residency, which had the best rooms during our entire trip. Trimbakeshwar, arguably was the best-managed Jyotirlinga temple due to its management by a private trust. Day 3: Visited Grishneshwar, explored the Ellora caves, particularly the Kailash temple, expressing our wish for its restoration to its former glory. Our stay in Ellora was at a hotel with basic rooms because there weren't any better alternatives.
Adhering to a Satvik diet, we had no issues finding food free from onions or garlic.
Day 4: Headed towards Omkareshwar, reaching our destination by evening and enjoying a delightful darshan of Omkareshwar and Mamaleshwar. Our accommodation at Hotel Ashirwad, approximately 3 km from the temple, provided clean and neat rooms.
Day 5: Continuing our journey, we reached Ujjain Mahakal by 1 pm, relishing a sumptuous lunch and witnessing the Lord Mahakal darshan. The Mahakal Corridor left us stunned, and we fortuitously discovered a Satvik restaurant near Bharatmata Mandir. Our stay included attending Shayanaarti, creating moments etched in our memories.

Day 6: By evening, we arrived in Hingoli, situated 24 kms from the Aundha Naganath temple. Unfortunately, the hygiene at the hotel in Hingoli left much to be desired, with waiters carrying spoons in their trouser pockets.
Day 7: The subsequent day took us to Aundha Naganath Temple, where we had to descend into a basement, approximately 4 ft in height, for the Naganath darshan. It was constructed that way as a precautionary measure from invaders in the past. It's noteworthy that many Jyotirlinga temples were rebuilt or renovated by Ahilyabai Holkar.
Day 8: By 4 pm we reached Parli Vaijanath temple, concluding our Jyotirlinga darshan.
Grishneshwar, Naganath, and Vaijanath were spontaneous additions, while the Mahalakshmi temple visit was unplanned. These destinations were incorporated into our itinerary based on the Jyotirlinga stotra.
The road conditions were generally excellent, with the Nashik to Nagpur expressway standing out. The only exception was the Ujjain to Naganath stretch, where ongoing road work left sections non-existent. Our journey took us to Vijayapura from Vaijanath via excellent roads. We ended the day with an overnight stay in Vijayapura,

Day 9: Returned home in Bangalore in the evening on 2023-11-18, thus concluding visit of seven Jyotirlingas in one tour.
Note: We have visited Kashi Vishwanath and Rameshwar in the past taking our tally to nine Jyotirlingas till date.
Honda Jazz is a very good cruiser. It can do speeds of 100-120 kmph all day, never encountered any issue, car is reliable.
175/65/R15 MRF tyre is noisy a bit and scary when doing sudden braking.
Overall Average is 15.2 kmpl with 4 people on board and the luggage.
Overtaking needs bit of planning as one has to be in lower gear and rev upto 3500 RPM and do quick gear changes.
Car doesn't feel under powered at all.
My car has done 20k kms now about 8k kms in 2 months.
