Indian Roadie Preferred Route/ Motoring Route/ Driving Route/ Road Route for 

Bangalore to Chennai 

(Bangalore_Chennai): 

Option 1:  

Bangalore E-city - Hosur - Krishnagiri - Vanyiambadi - Ambur - Vellore - Kanchipuram - Sripermbadur - Poonamallee. 

Note: One needs to turn left around Krishnagiri, about 5 kms after the toll gate, on a bridge to drive to Chennai. Going straight will take you towards Salem/ Toppur ghat. 

The road after Kanchipuram is not smooth. 

Option 2:  
Bangalore KR Puram - Hoskote - Kolar - Palamenar - Chittoor bypass - Ranipet - Join the Bangalore highway at Walajabad toll gate. 

as of August 2021 there was road work going on in this route. 

Food options: Plenty of restaurants and Dhaba  available on the Hosur route at every 5 - 10 km intervals. 

Some of the eateries are A2B, Sai Sangeet, Star Biriyani, Thalpakatti.
