I (Aashish Kulkarni) traveled from Belgaum to Ponda (Goa) via Khanapur, Ramnagar, Anmod, Molem in mid May 2023.
The Belgaum Khanapur concrete road is now complete and it's world class road. After Khanapur, I decided to continue to Ramnagar thinking road would be similarly good. However, the section from Khanapur to Goa border is work in progress. Many sections are concretized but a lot of time, you have to drive on gravel road with dust going in the air. Once complete it would rbecome the best ghat road for many years to come. The road surface would beat Mumai Pune Expressway. After KA border, road in Goa section is butter smooth.
I wonder how is the road from Khanapur to Goa via the shorter route.
