Bridge over Baspa River in Batseri village collapsed after boulders rolled downhill following torrential rains and landslides in Sangla valley of Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh.
9 tourists travelling back to Delhi died and 3 were injured when their Tempo Traveller was hit by a boulder in the same incident on Sangla - Chitkul road on 2021-07-25 after 1.00 pm. Quite a few were tourists from NCR. One of the injured was a pedestrian from Batseri village, while two of the injured were flung off the Tempo Traveller while it rolled deep down into the gorge.
More rains and landslides are predicted in Himachal Pradesh in the next 3 - 5 days.
