Bangalore - Tumkur (NH48) - Chitradurga - Davangere - Harihar - Ranebenur - Haveri (exit NH48, erstwhile number NH4) - Bankapur - Mundgod - Yellapur - Ankola (NH66, erstwhile number NH17) - Karwar - South Goa. 

Road condition (in mid August 2023): 

Bankapur to Yellapur: Some short stretches of manageable bad patches are there. 

Yellapur to Ankola: Good road.
