If Pune to Nagpur (Pune_Nagpur) or Nagpur to Pune (Nagpur_Pune) is what you want to drive, here's the advice meted out by Indian Roadie followers in end August 2023.
Start from wherever you are in Pune and drive on Pune - Nashik Road towards Chakan, Alephata, Sangamner.
Join Samruddhi Expressway (Mahamarg) from Sinnar Interchange during the onwards drive.
Enroute to Nagpur from the Sinnar Interchange, roadies will cross Shirdi Interchange, Godavari River Bridge, MSMJ Interchange (near Vaijapur), Aurangabad Interchange, Sindkhed Raja, Mehkar Interchange, Malegaon Interchange, Barshitakli Toll Plaza (near Akola), Karanja Interchange, Wardha Interchange.
It's a fantastic drive of 586 kms on the access controlled Expressway which can be done in about 7 hrs only. Most of the time motorists can maintain a speed of 100 kmph.
Check tyre conditions before leaving.
There are only a couple of small food joints which have become operational as in August 2023.
About 4 fuel filling stations had become fully operational as. Ensure that there's enough fuel in the tank.
